About Timetable of my school
First term already passed for two weeks.
I feel I am used to Ugandan time.
Teaching timetable
My assigned place is secondary school of boarding school and
school’s timetable are as follows.
1st period：8：00-9：20
2nd period：9：20-10：40
Tea time break
3rd period：11：20-12：40
Lunch time break
4th period：14：00-15：20
5th period：15：20-16：20
Japanese people think so mysteriously that there are no break time between the classes.
Ugandan time
However there are devilish break time by Ugandan culture.
Today, I was surprised that there is a teacher who warned students about lateness.
This is normal by just looking at the timetable in this way ,though extra classes notified this week.
Extra teaching timetable
Morning: 5:00-6:00
Evening: 17:00-18:00
Night: 19:00-22:00
Extra classes are depending on grade and elective subject.
So these are not everyday but almost everyday from very early morning to late night.
Computer night classes are set 4days in a week…
I think that cutting devilish break time and extra classes convert to self-study make the school better.
Though I had only one class for myself.
